CRF450x "05" Hard to start

I have an 05 CRF450X that was running like a dream 2 weeks ago,
throught the week I gave it a an oil change and rotated the filter that was pre soaked in filter oil. after the servicing it still started easy even up until the day before I went out again and all of a sudden it didnt want to start to the point the battery died and after trying to kick start with no luck I hooked it up to the jump start and continued till if finally started, Once it started is was running rough and the idle speed had dropped. once the bike warmed up it was easier to start but still not right. Next day after cooling down and the same starting problems,as this was a sudden overnight problem, does anyone have any suggestions of items to check or test to perform?
