ive just recently learned to wheelie my ttr 225 and havent had to ditch the bike so far(phew!)im just wondering when that time comes, what i should do with the bike. ive heard all that stuff about tapping the back brake, but my boots r soo stiff its hard to get the lever down when ive got the front end up. so what im asking is when the bike gets away from me; should i just ditch the bike and roll or stay on and try to bring it back or something like that

cluth

while riding a wheelie try really hard to keep a finger or two over the clutch lever. that way when the bike starts to throw you off you automaticly pull the clutch in and might be able to stay on.

it depends...

it may just be your paranoia, you will wind up falling off it you flip it, but you really should at least build the reflex to hit the back break, it helps, i thought i was going over one day on my ttr125 and hit it, it shot the front wheel down on the ground quick. i had boots on too, dont just jump off, you will get just as hurt either way.
