rito thks heaps man so my bike wont idle at all it cuts out if i dnt have my hand on throtlle now my spark plug i took it out today and it is a really dirty oily black i mix at 40:1 it is a top of the range synthetic motul oil wot do u seem to thing i should be mixing at wot bike do u own man cheers
i never said that the main was gonna fix your idle..... the pilot will.... but i though he said after riddin it was soaked... that would be the main or neddle clip position.... and i never said idleing was bad... but it will load them up... from yamaha they wont idle... most race bikes wont. idle... its not bad but it not good....
the pilot screw adjusts from idle to quater throttle.
the needle and clip position are for mid range throttle..
the main is for wide open...
you have to adjust all three to be running rigth for you riddin style. ... but dont check the plug at idle. there not soposed to...
man some of you are either stupid or or like to fuck shit up....the fuel ratio all depends on the climate that you ride in...like say if your in the mountains, you should go with 32:1...and at sea level 40:1...why in the hell would you mix it 50:1 hell why not 100:1...them two right there will blow your shit up quicker than all hell...if you want a nice even flow of power and want that band to kick in when you want it to then try the 32:1 or the 40:1...they both give you the right amount of lubritcation for a 250 two-stroke..trust me i used to race them for a living...and 20:1 hell just put oil in the gas tank insted of mixed gas...you'll foul plugs left and right...
amsoil is the worst thing you can use in a 250..for one yeah you will have more power and wont foul plugs but not for long because in about two weeks to a month you'll blow the top end trust me been there done that... and yeah you'll have cooler engine temps but you will burn the bearing right out of the bottom end while frying the top...the only way you can use that oil is if you put a hot rod crank in...take my word on it ive tryed it like it but now i know its the shittest oil on the market...
