seriously are you trying to fuck people over. drilling holes in the exhaust is retarded. you would lose so much power and it would leak everywhere. where the hell do you come up with these ideas.
I just ordered a new jetting kit with air filterfor mine. This seems to be the place to start for 4 strokes. The factory carb settings are lean, to meet emmission regulations. I am ttrail riding not motocross. That is what the ttr is designed for. If you are trying to di something different you may wish to change bikes, you can build it all you want with high proformance exaust and a big bore kit, it still will not be a motocross racer. Try thumpertalk.com all about 4 strokes. If you change bikes it doesnt necissarly have to be bigger. find one that fits you, is designed to do what you want to do, learn to ride well. then start building it.

I just changed my main jet and air filter, I cannot believe what a difference it made. I had to drill out the plug and adjust the fuel screw. The kit was 40 bucks on ebay. took aout an hour . I am going to put in a new pilot screw next.
Go to thumpertalk.com and search a member named Alyex. he has put a lot together on the ttr 230 and225. Pictures and all. this is a must see it you ride a ttr.

I would buy a big bore kit, i believe that engines only, and also bbr produce a 250cc kit for the ttr 230. and i would also buy a bbr motorsports pipe, pro-circuit, or fmf.
Personally what i would do is get airfilter, powerups for carb, carb kit, new exhuast and header. and i believe whitebros makes a racing engine without boring it out, or bore it out and get high compressed pistons and new top end get, dunlop tires.
Maybe try losing the 20 pound battery by getting a kickstart equipt to it and then you need a jet kit for it
well, wat the fuck are powerups for the carb. i thnk i can assume that when you say carb kit you mean jet kit. but y does everyone recomend jet kits. you dont need this huge fuckin kit of like 20 jets. if you do it right you get it in one or two and then you have a few spares for different conditions. also its high compression pistons. its not like they hit them with a big hammer to make high compressed pistons. also there are many other quick fixes. moose makes a smaller head gasket increasing yur compression ratio. its a little but it does the trick. if you really feel the need for a high compression piston then you should also get a new crankshaft and connecting rod. trying to force more than there supposed to is an easy way to blow a rod and nowbody likes to blow a rod. also if you want to get ridiculous then y dont you just change yur valve angle. try 15 degrees with some new kibblewhite valves and new titanium springs and keepers. or try some new yoshi cams. y not stage 3. prob gonna need a new piston for your new valve clearance. but y not. now with all this and everything else people said you might tie a cr250r. just maybe on a crazy good day. but r u willing to drop $3000 at least to get there. and thats not even getting into their suspension. if u have the money i would consider a new bike otherwise i gave you plenty of things for you to grab a little more power with. ---Mototips March Giveaway, Check It Out Here---
in all respect if u want a faster bike spending hundreds if not thousands of dollars on a bike & building it up wont be reliable & is a waste use your computer to sell the ttr230 & look for a deal on a used 250f or 450f or ktm525 or 620 or anything made with power & suspension. look for the right bike for u if its not fast enough for u maybee your not riding right trying to over ride to go fasdt will slow u down.
