ya mx is right get a yz 125 trust me i have one there so light when ur flying throught the air and they have the nicest suspension out there. its crazy i had a ttr 125 and in reality its lighter than my yz but when im flying through the air yz just lifts oofff the ground and feels so light!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dude, all you gotta do is take out the exhaust baffle and take off the air box restrictor. But I'm gonna warn you, you'll probably wanna rejet your bike when you do this.
your a dum shit they dont make a crf125f and if they did it would be slower because a crf is a two stroke and you putting a f at the end of the 125 makes you look like an even more dumb shit because f stands for four stroke............. your a dumb shit
you could bore it out. take out the baffle. jett it is probally the easiets thing to do. but if u got the money. get a CRF 250 there rank. way lighter. got way more balls. dont get a two stroke. so not smooth riding, amazing power but not what youll want. a 125 would be too big for you to move up
I would say take out the baffler or get a new pipe and a good brand one like fmf next I would say change your sprockets I own a cr85r and changed the sprocketts for more acceleration and its wicked fast in accelleration but I also noticed the loss of acceleration in 6th gear put it this way if you ride on tracks alot increase your acceleration but if you ride out in the wide open it would be wise to keep it stock but the 230 has pretty good top speed so if you were to change your sprocketts for more accelleration you would'nt lose much.....last but not least I would also say a bbr rev box with a pipe and some pro tapers....
my uncle has a crf230f and it has the baffel taken out and did something with the air box and re jetted it, if feels more like a bike now, it also sounds like one too :P
take out the baffle ,open up the air box and MAKE SURE YOU RE-JET IT. this is very important. but with more power you might find the limits of the suspension, so you might be better saving for a ttr250... just my thought
bore it 40 over shave the head 60 thousands of an inch get a wiseco pro lite piston a hot cam a liter flywheel open the airbox MAKE SURE YOU RE-JET if you choose not to spend 0.50$ on a bigger main jet after opening the air box you will be running to lean and burn the valves or burn a hole in the piston. take the baffel out of the exhaust too
You Don't Need to Sell her or Taking The baffles out frains your power get a new muffler say a FMF Exause Or BBR Or Pro Curcuit There top preformance makes the bike go for sure 10-20 KM/h Faster
Taking into account what other people have said, if you know how, there some ways slightly improve torque responce: take off the head and port it, shave and up the comp to about 10 and a half so 40 thou shave. also you can cut new valve seats and run bigger intake valve. lighten the crank woulden't hurt either. Fiddle with sprocket size and you will notice a difference. There are also aftermarket upgrades you can buy.
If your really worried about either torque or power whether it being bottom end or up top you should think of playing with the cam size and angle it will change the torque curve and how much you get. You might want to change jets in the carbi run it lean and you will get more power but what i call (risky power) this could hurt the engine put increases air to fuel mixture. More air less fuel=more power(to a degree)
We picked one up a few years ago that was showroom condition for a great price. A doctor had set it up for his 6 foot tall 170 wife to follow him around. With that said; it came with BBR forks, BBR rear spring; Uncorked air box and exhaust. It runs great but I have always felt it should run a little better. My son is 15, 5'8" and is about 145lb's. he has been riding dirt bikes for 11 years now and has no problems keeping up with our group in glamis. He runs 110/100 18 paddle with 8 scoops. I shaved the scoops down to about a inch and a half to clear the swing arm and aovid geting a new chain. He cant climb the big hills but has no problems dunning and keeping with banshees and z400's. cleaning the carb last week we relized it was jetted for the mountains and not the desert. Rickramsey.com had info on their dyno testing and we followed his web advise. 14hp Stock. 17hp w/ the following mods, Uni airfilter, 120 main jet vis the 108 it had, 45 pilot and 4th notch from the top with the needle jet vis the stock 3rd notch. We have the paddle on it right now and will test it next week at glamis. It starts right up at the push of the starter and sounds much better. I ride a drz400 and will gladly trade my bike for his in the rocks and trail riding here in southern Az.. It's not a tipical teenage bike but its an awesome steping stone from the crf 80 to the DRZ 400 or other big bore fourstrokes and for less than $600 the endro kit will be on it next year for school transportation. how many kids ride their 125 twosmokers to school? They cant. they have to save up to redo the top end every season. LOL just messing with you all. Its a fun bike but not a race up the hill bike
CRF 230 faster
like if ur looking for top speed increase the teeth on the front sprocket and less on the back.. for acceleration less on the front more on the back
u could take the baffle out b
