hi,
im 14 and i have a xr100. im a pretty good rider i go off jumps and stuff but i cant wheelie. i can only get the front end off the ground by a bump and i want to know how to pull a wheelie on flat ground. i would rather pull wheelies sitting down on the bike. if you could help that would be great.

XR 100 Wheelie
Can you wheelie your BMX/Mountain bike? If you dont know how to find the balance point, practise on a bike first.
There are lots of wheelying tips here - Wheeling tips please?, but I'll try and add a bit more. :-)
Whelying in first gear is hard work. Second will probably be best for the little XR.
You will find it easier to get the front up if you are standing up, but of course, its harder to do the rear brake standing up, so be careful.
Ummm. Read the above for more tips I guess.
its fun!!
what i normally do is push down on those pegs to set the rear suspension, then twist the throttle while pulling up on the bars. at first u wont be able to ride it that far, ull only really get the wheel off the groud. PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT. ull be showing off for those lil ladies any time now }:)
thanks
do u have it in 2nd gear? and u do it standin up right?
some tips...
ill give u example how i wheelie my KTM 125 EXC.
1. Try to find a nice uphill to practice wheelies, its a bit easier cause center of gravity is now moved
2. Best gear to wheelie is 2nd, its because 1st gear is very hard to control (bike has to much power)and in 3rd bike doesent have enough power
3. Sit as far back as u can and your balance point will lower down so it doesent have advantage only in pulling wheelie, its also good when riding longer wheelie
4. So u are in 2nd... Now drive around 30 km/h (MY bike is "on the pipe" around 30 km/h in 2nd)
5. Now press clutch turn off your throttle and then gas it + in same time quickly release clutch, your front end should come up in air.
6. If u feel u gonna flip just release throttle and engine will breake for u, its easier than finding your rear brake...
7. Now u just practice, practice and practice, its only way to improve your skills! Only thing u have to do now is to find a balance point so u wont run out of gas cause when u are in balance point your bike wont accelerate and that is only hard part of doing wheelies. Once u master this it will be peace of cake
8. Dont be afraid of falling, just remember not to panic and close your throttle when u feel that u are in uncomfortable position. I am riding wheelies over 1.5 years with ease and i never fliped over!(but never say never)
9. Most important: Enjoy! :)
xr 100 wheelie
yea i used to have a xr 100 but i now have a crf 230. but i used to do them by preloading my shocks in 2nd and gasing it while the shocks spring back up. after i got better at that i could pull it off in 3rd but u have to have ur rpms up much higher to do it in 3rd.
loser
learn how to ride
Yeah ya do mate;)

heres how to wheelie
alrite start of in second gear and slow the bike down so its barely moving and then hold in the clutch gun it and let go while pulling up and you will wheelie, plus try while shifting
