Ricky Carmichael got the holeshot
Carmichael pulled away from Windham in the first few laps, and never looked like being in trouble, busting out new moves through the whoops that made him faster and faster each lap.
Reed didn't get as good a start, and had to work his way past a few riders before challenging Windham and Carmichael. Unfortunately, Reed didn't get up to the front quickly enough, and never got back in touch with either.
Travis Pastrana dropped the bike early, and was out of the race. His injured wrist apparently became very swollen after last weeks race. Maybe he'd be better off waiting until its fully healed? What do you think, vote on our poll and let us know.
It seemed like a good track for the fourstrokes, with quite a slick surface. Tortelli went qutie well with the new RM-Z450, and Windham and Voss bother did even better with the CRF450 and YZ450F respectively.
With Steware out due to a broken arm, it was left to Australia's Michael Byrne and Sean Hamblin to keep Kawasaki in the press, unfortunately, neither achieved a podium, finished 11th and 16th respectively.
Final Results, Carmichael first, Windham Second, Reed third.
