hey i have a crf150 2004 and i was wondering the top speed because i did alil bit of work and put on a 2rracing power tip (flows 3 times faster) a uni air filter and a 120 main jet. someone leave a message and help me out here
hey i gotta CRF150........and i was wondering what the heck is the baffler? u mean like the "silencer" on the muffler or whatever?.....my friend mike was tellin me about takin out some resister plates.........idk what the heck all this stuff is.......
The baffler or the silencer is the the thing at the end of ur bike that has three screws on it...... If you take it out it will be faster and sound cooler the only thing is it becomes illegal because it also takes the spark arrester out and it can be bad if dirt gets into it......
im gonna help you out, im a motorcycle mechanic im in mmi paying to learn to be one im almost done too, but dont listen to the guys at shops that say bigger jet and shit, what you need to do is use the stock jet and jet needle to start. then with everything good ride it. come back take ur seat off take the plug off the top of the airbox ride it and see how it rides, if it rides better than you need to open your airbox. and then take your side cover off to see if you still needs more air. if when you take ur side cover off it runs worse put a bigger jet in and run it with the side cover off that should give you 10mph, now dont run with your side cover off they make vents that you can put on it, and on top of that you want your baffle out if it was a bigger motor you would want your baffle in. take it easy good luck
