I have to run VP c12 through my bike now. I was wondering if anyone knew where a good place to buy it is. An online site that has a good deal on it because it is 55 dollars for 5 gallons at my track....
so what is your compression ratio that is making u have to run this high of an octane gas? i run a 13.5:1 cp on 93 octane. if u heard knocking and thought that u had to go higher there are some ways to gt rid of knocking and be able to run a lower octane fuel. first off, switch to the waterless coolant which runs ya $20 a quart. boyesen and procircuit both make high flow water pump covers and impellers. and of course fluidyne sells a set of higher cooling capacity radiators. these mods can drop the internal temp of your engine enough to allow u to run 93 without knocking. as to y u have to run high octane gas now i do not know because nothing should cause u to have to do it.
that did not even close to answer my question.....everyone on this site is dumb and asks how to do wheelies and dosent know s**t about bikes....tig thanks for thinking you know what you are talking about, but you should shut up because you dont....i run waterless coolant...i have no piston knocking....i have a fing boyseen high-flow cover......F buying a higher caacity radiator there is no need.....MY QUESTION WAS WHERE IS C12 CHEAPER THAN AT MY TRACK!!!
if there is no knocking why the fuck are you even running c12............ you could use premium gas with torco or penzoil octane boost and it would be fine.... but if you like spending alot of money on fuel i would suggest goin to vp's website and buying direct or checking out a local bike shop
really why are u running it? u are not getting more power out of it unless your compression ratio is extremely high. they have the dyno charts proving it. u could run something besides c12 seeing as it is a 110 octane rating. anyway your best bet would be ordering a 54 gallon drum of it and having it shipped to your door. as far as what i said before, i was just trying to help you out and keep you from having to spend more money than needed. o and by the way, i think i kinda know whats going on, i am a mechanic. gas with an octane rating of 93 will be perfectly fine in any ride with a stock or slightly increased cp. dirt bikes have highly efficient cooling systems and therefore can run high compression ratios on premium gas. i wasnt trying to be ignorant, just helping people out is what im here for.
