Okay so heres the run down, I got a 2003 XR100R, the bike is decent, no engine issues maintained and never had a problem untill I cleaned the bowl on my carb. Ever since then, the bike wouldnt run right, also, I had a sticky throttle prior to this. I had a mechanic go over the carb, and watched videos on it, it looks just fine, we had the bike running a few times but the RPMS were extremely high, almost like the throttle was cranked open. The throttle worked, but very poorly, when we had the bike running at the highest RPMS possible if you twisted the throttle it'd go up a bit, and if you turned the choke off it'd go even higher.
Heres what we've done, we checked the carb, its good, it has gas (not old gas either) and just today took the throttle off, and where the slide ontop of the carb is, the cap where the throttle cabble runs though, is now sucked behind the cap in the tube that the cable runs through. Can't get it back through the cap, so thats one problem, but even when the throttle cable disconneced it wouldnt even budge, we checked for flooding and the odd time it was flodded. It has spark, for the life of us we cant get it going like normal, before I cleaned the carb, it'd start first kick. I didnt mess with any valves or anything, just the bowl. Almost about to call a motorcylce mechanic and pay to get it working. Any help would be great to save me money! Thank you.
