how do you know if you have blown your motor? Yesterday my friend and I switched bikes for a few. While my ttr has a stock exhaust, my friends does not, so I was not able to hear how they were shifting.
But I soon noticed smoke coming from it and it wasn't doing that before.
I had my friend stop, and i've left my bike alone since yesterday, thinking maybe it was just really really hot (which i doubt as I've rode it much longer than yesterday with no such problems) what is wrong with it? how do you know if you have blown your motor? thanks
This might be a bit off topic, but I came across a site called SICorNOT.com. It's pretty cool. post some photos and get a rating if your SIC or well NOT. it's at http://www.sicornot.com. funny
I've been riding bikes my whole life but I finaly am getting my own. I was thinkin about the TTR - 225 but I read some of the forums and people say its too heavy to jump and hard to wheelie, both being things I like to do. Any suggestions on what to get? I do have a budget, but i can always get a used bike. I weigh about 200 and im 5,8.
I think it's my own fault, but the chain came off. I was trying to shift to second, missed, went into neutral and it all got baffeled there...or maybe the chain was messed up before hand so this happened...
anyways, i'm kind of new to working on the bike myself and i'm not 100% sure how to loosen the chain. it won't just fit back on like it has before. my dad would usually help me with this, but he's out riding somewhere and wont be back for a while, and the bike is stuck in the back of the house, not able to push it up, plus it's only a chain problem so i don't think i need to...
I think i need to loosen the chain to refit it on to the sproket, but how?
I know you all probably are more into four strokes...but i was just wondering what some opinions of the kx100 were, or if anyone ever had one and could tell me about it. it sounds good as i read from tests to do both motocross-and trail riding...just want to see what other people have to say. thanks
Does anyone have any adivce of how to make whoops. like w/ just dirt or asstance w/ objects. any tips would help. thanks
My 2001 yz 125 rear shock is bouncy. its hard to jump and its harder to land. It bounces over the rough stuff and when u jump on it it contiues to bounce when you stop. can i adjust some screws or could it be blown? please help.
It's almost time for me to get a new bike, as I'm outgrowing my Yamaha ttr125L. I pretty much have a choice between A kawasaki kdx220 or a kx100 *(2 stroke). We have the kdx220 here and now but my dad says its not much faster than my ttr, so i'm leaning more towards the kx100...
All the kx100 tests say it has a wide powerband for trails and track, but i was wondering if anyone knows how well it stands up to a 4stroke...I understand all the basic 2 and 4 stroke differences but where I go dirtbike riding is a combo and trail and track (lots of narrow rocks to climb, water crossing, etc.) If anyone has ever had a kx100 or anything and could tell me some more about it, I'd really appreciate it.
i just got back from riding when i was there i was riding a cr500,ttr125 and a fat cat up and down this little hill so i take my buddies 300EX down this same hill and i rolled it luckily i got out of the way it rolled 3 full times and landed upside down i went down flipped it over and it fired right up the worst part was there was all these hot chicks that i was showing off to i was whellieing and shit i dont no if they saw me roll it put man that really hurt my pride
