Does anyone have any idea why there would be excessive gas coming from the tube from the carborator? I am to assume it is the overflow, but this spillage just keeps pouring out! Need advise! It was a birthday gift today!
im not sure what tube your talking about but if its the one that leaves right from the bottom of the carb and doesnt go any where there is a screw to close it on the side somewhere.
well if the gas is comming from the tube in the bottom then it is just simply the drain bowl screw. look for a screw around where the bottom tube is attached to the carb. however if it is not leaking from there then it means that your float needle isnt seating right or the float height is wrong. your float is just a piece of plastic that keeps a certain amount of gas in the carb and once it reaches that, it "floats" up and closes the float needle. so if the float was set wrong then gas would keep flowing in and out the overflow tube. or if the float needle doesnt close gas would continue to flow.
