I have a 2004 Honda CRF-250 and i bought it used from a friend and when i bought it it was running fine and starting up first kick but after the 3rd time i rode it, it wouldnt start very easy and would die when it was idoling so i got the valves adjusted and it was running good again but i rode it 2 times after i adjusted the valves and now its doing it again. I have a hot cam in it could that be why? Is it even the valves?
The lesson of the story dont
The lesson of the story dont buy 4 stoke pain in the ass to start. Crfs are little valve chewers but still should not go that quick, Try cleaning out the jets as i have a feeling you have dirt in them.
Don't buy a two stroke
2-strokes are a hassle. You have to mix the oil and gas, and rebuild the motor lots. 4-strokes are way easier to keep in good shape.
haha
maybe if you ride a stupid trail bike but once you start ridin race four strokes they are a pain in the ass. it costs triple what a two stroke costs to maintane. you have to screw with the valves all the time and they are a pain in the ass to start when they are warm. i dunno bout you but my 2 stroke takes one kik to start when its warm and 3 when its cold. and about the mixing your fuel thing, a fuckin chimp could do it. it is so simple to mix your fuel.
Mixin oil jesus i give up its
Mixin oil jesus i give up its so hard know to trow that bit of oil in with petrol its a killer. 2 stoke top end is done in less than a hour.
ya
ya no kidding. i rebuilt my top end in 45 minutes shop time. a four stroke would be like 3-4 hours, then youd have to set the timing agin and shit. plus two strokes are wayyyyyy funner
So
So what
They arent going to make 2 strokes any more
