i've got a yz 125 and it will out jump my dads cr250 just because i've got the guts to jump better it pretty much depends on the rider but it would go with yz
i got a crf 230 and its kinda under powered but if youve got a big enough run for a jump its fast enough the rear suspension is good enuf but the front one bottoms out on any thing so try land on the rear shocky a bit but i want to get a new cam / exhuast / piston kit so it should go better so does any one know any good part manufactuars that make good crf 230 bits and iv got a limited budget
hey i am gonna buy a crf 230f and i am gonna be ridin it at a track on demarr road and budss creek ( with a group called SMDR if any1 knows what that is) will it be good on the jumps?
the crf 230's are awesome jumpers except the front end is a little sort my advice is to go up a few spring rates or get it revalved which will change the rebound and compression which will make it not bottom out when pushed hard. i have a crf 230 it is fully stock and goes like shower of shit but my advice take the baffle out if you want it too really sound good and perform. i have been doun 12 foot high plus jumps and have not had a major problem with bottoming out. but i find if you land on the rear wheel a little more and position your weight backwards you shouldnt have any probs. also a stock crf 150 numberplate will fit straight onto the crf 230 so rip the heaDLIGHT off coz it looks gay and put the numberplate in i dun it
these are the parts you need

the crf 230 isnt meant for jumping.it will do ok,but not exellent it is a trail bike and not meant for that.if u want a good 4 stroke jumper, get a crf 250r
the TTR 230's are good bikes but are not built for jumping. i have a TTR 230 and i love it but i wouldnt plan on making it a jumping bike. i'd stick with a YZ for sure. dont jump a TTR you'll break it, its not made for that its made for trail riding.
Go to www.uponone.com Go to videos..then go to dirt and look for the videos that are called *Hillarious* and *Awesom* its me jumping my Honda CRF230... and check out the one called step up... i hit that but never fillmed it....
I'm fifteen and I could probably outride all of you... The whole question is what are you trying to jump? Are we talking about little 10 foot jumps in peoples yards? I'm selling the 230 soon and getting an 05 KDX220R. If you want a great bike then I suggest that but no noobs, it'll kill you... To answer the question if you put aircaps on the front forks and put some air in them, then crank up the rear spring all the way, Yes the 230 can take some jumps. But that's not what it's for. It's a woods bike.. It's for trail riding which I seriously reccomend yall do. I can smoke A class riders on a CR500.
m8 your right the 230 is not for jumping its a trail bike. i have 1 and i have tried to jump it and every time it bottoms out.
if anyone wants to be flying high you should get a 2 stroke loke the cr 125. my m8 has 1 and he can fukin launch like a rocket on it.
