im 15 and i have a yz 125 and i need help with my wheelies. i can get it up good and i find a good balance point but it goes down cuz it revs up too much. and i need help with shifting. my friends say if u dont do it right it will flip you backwards. i need sum pointers on how to keep the throttle going, like to keep pumping it or just hold it in one spot after you shift.
um
i have a 2003 yz 125 to, im not really good at wheelies though, i used to be when i had my ttr 125 cause that was a way smaller bike and i was not afraid to rev it up and pop the clutch striaght out just cause it was a smaller bike and i didnt think it could do much damage to me, it could but not even close as much damage that a yz 125 could do to u. ur friends r right if u pull the throttle back to far it will flip right over i know this guy he was srewing around with his friends. and his friends keep on telling him he could go higher and longer they kept egging him on finally the bike flipped over and the guy died in the next 10 minutes, he had a yz 125. so im to imtimadedt by that story to even try a weely on my yz 125. but u can defently do it if u want to. my best tip would be to practice.

i dont use the clutch it has good power and i can get it up really easy in 4th gear and i have flipped over a few times and mest it up really bad but it didnt hurt me really bad. but i just need to know wat to do while ur shifting while ur doing it
u dont use the clutch! its wa
u dont use the clutch! its way eaiser put in in 1st gear keep ur clutch in rev its rpms and let that clutch go than tell me the results
its easier for me just to get
its easier for me just to get up by using the engine when im in 4th gear just to gas it and it will go up on its own. i just need help on balancing
it mostly tuns into how much
it mostly tuns into how much balls u got man, this is how i do, get a buddie whos better than u at wheelies, he goes then u go, believe me man after a while ull be gettin so pissed off at urself ull be pushing urself harder and trying more risky things than u would if u were anlone.... try it, but try switching up almost right when u get er up into the balance point
foot pegs
i got a yz 85 and i wheelie in 2-3 gear but i am usually straight up and down and i cand keep my ass or my feet on the bike. as for you people scared to fall just let go if you think u might fall!
clutching? wow, do not do that!
k, i have never driven a yz-125, but peice of advice no. 1, do not pop the clutch, alot more dangerous, i drive my friends yz-426, 4-stroke, and i just put her in second, and twist away, it pops up really fast, but ur bike is smaller cc's, but a 2-stroke, so do it in first, and you know that feeling where you are balancing there, no longer accelerating? well, right when that happens, let off the gas for a split second, force shift it into 2nd (force shift = shifting without clutching) and get right back on the gas. now make sure you let off the gas before doing this, or the bike will suddenly jerk, flipping you back, so i suggest you practice force shifting while just regular riding first, to get the feel for it. dont worry, it will not hurt your bike, i know guys who never clutch, and they have had the same clutch and tranny in the thing for like 6 years, it took me ALOT of practice to get the hang of it when i got taught to do this, but once you get good at it, you can pull wheelies longer than you ever thought you would be able too, just keep it simple at first, and work your way up, i hope i was some help, its easier to teach it in real life rather than describing it, but anyways, make em long!
