The top speed of a dirt bike is usually not as important as performance, ie: accelleration and decelleration in and out of turns, around and over obstacles. You can experiment around til you find an ideal combination of power, gear ratio, and sprocket ratios.
As with any bike, if you put a large enough sprocket on the front and a small enough sprocket on the back, you can peg the speedo and get all the way up to stupidly fast. The point?
i own a crf230 stock and is a mama's bike, you want a bike for ur mama, thats what you get, its not made for going fast or any of that stupid shit your asking, it already weighs 238lb, you might as well put a speedometer on it, if you really want to know how fast its fatass is going
I have an sl230 (basicly the same motor) and its a reliable, neat little bike but it is not powerful at all, If anything I would gear it lower as I can't even get into 3rd gear on the steeper hills (saving up for a 400cc bike)
It gets up to 70mph with a 160lbs rider(so presumably the crf230f would do the same), But I end up only doing 10-40mph on most trails so like Davet said - top speed is irrelevant.
Iam 14 years old and i weigh 155. What bike do you think is the best and iam kinda of a beginner. But if i got a crf230 how fast u think i would go on it.

130 KM/H
130KM/H Would be About 70-75 MPh Or 75-80 Depends On Your Weight I'm 145 Pounds And Can Get Like 80MpH Out Of My Bike
they do 70
average rider gets 70mph out of the bike its rare theyl do less maybe you could squirt 80 out of it if ur a skinny no muscled freak
