I've got a CR125. I know four strokes are the new power but I still rock the pre-mixers. I'm doing some modifications to it, wondering if anyone had any suggestions. So far I have a procircuit works pipe and R304 silencer, new hot rod bottom end, vertex top end, V-Force reeds, PC no bog system, and I've drilled out the air boot and filtered the holes. I'm looking for ideas on moding the bike (a lot with intake) or any parts that people know of that work well on this bike. SJ ABSK
jd jetting kit, worked freaki
jd jetting kit, worked freakin sikko in my 250f
jet kits are only available f
jet kits are only available for the thumps. Check out dynojet. Theyr jet kits are hella true. Theyll be huge next year when everythin goes to fuel injection
JD makes em for 2 stroke i
JD makes em for 2 stroke i know it, go to the site, plus JD blows DYNO out of the water instruction wise, there the only kit i would ever use.... true fact
where
where do you get the filters for the air boot thingy cuz i drilled mine out but i just put a peece of mesh over it.i havnt ridin it yet since i drilled it because theres 1 foot of snow here.
your not out ridin in the sno
your not out ridin in the snow?
nah
nah i took it out for a chew when it snowed then i put it in the shop and started doin mods. and i took off the forks and started rebuilding them and that was a huge pain in the ass cuz it was my first time and i just got them bak on today.
UNI makes them. either do th
UNI makes them. either do that or you can keep it stock and run a K&N paper style filter which will increase the air flow too
make sure you change your jet
make sure you change your jetting though its gunna run a lot leaner and hotter with more air goin in and thats when you start blowin motors
ok
ok thanks. i already new about the jetting part tho and its got a uni filter and it still runs way to rich.
then pay a lot of attention m
then pay a lot of attention mainly to the air screw and slow jet. thats usually where it is. a good trick to do is start with the air screw only about 1/4 turn out and get the bike warmed up, then start to turn the screw out and the rpm will go up. find the spot where the rpms stop increasing and stop there
ok
ok thanks. ill try that.
Your givin that bike a new ma
Your givin that bike a new make over i like it haha. You should have got a 250 would have saved you a lot of money on the power up side But im guessin u like the 125. You may as well try out gettin a flywheel weight??
nah
nah i did alot of work on it in the last month or two and i havnt ridin it. i like the 125's and you dont want more weight on the flywheel its the other way around you want less so the engine can rev up quiker b/c it doesnt have to turn as much weight. but thats takin care of the flywheel is tiny and light light. o ya and im gettin the frame chromed should be sweet.
i got one of those too. the
i got one of those too. the flywheel just smooths out the power. i like it snappy, but its just me
ya
if it aint snappy its pretty crappy. lol. you gotta mix gas to go fast.
Haha i like that sayin "if it
Haha i like that sayin "if it anit snappy its pretty crapy" hahaha come on the 2 stroke. yeah give u a hell of a lot more traction though so at the end of the day ur goin quicker you dont wanna mod it to much and have loads of air intake cause you know whats goin to happen then.
hey bud i gotta 99 cr 125r um
hey bud i gotta 99 cr 125r umm u should put a STEAHLY flywheel on it its alot easier riding starting and stopping also i have installed too trick suspension on mine and its great ill give u a list of all the stuff i got on it,
gold rim and sprocket new top end STEAHLY flywheel weight too trick suspension bills pipe and silencer carbon fibre reeds new tires hand grips etc yea though if u have stock suspension trade it or selll it for a pair of too trick suspension great, never bottoms out and always adjustable
