By ride4life, 4 April, 2007 Forum Topics Yamaha i was wondering if you really need to run 95 octane gas or higher in a yz250f? yup you dont have to but if u want ur bike to run good put 95 in it. dirtbike engines are high compression and need a higher octane number in the gas so that the compression doesnt flash the fuel before its supposed to be ignited.
