Tigmaster is ur man to ask about the 4 strokes. Have you tryed cleaning out the carb?? clean the jets and make sure no dirt is in the carb at all.

first a few questions. how often do u ride and how is the bike treated? have u performed regular maintainence on the valves (shimming)? anything i should kno about the bog, or when it happens and maybe how long it lasts? just tell me everything about it.

i ride every weekend usually, but every few weeks i ride all weekend. i treat it pretty good, i dont rev the guts out of it, and try to keep up with maintenance. i clean the air filter every two weeks, wash the bike every month or so, i cleaned out the fuel tank a few months ago, but i ran fine after that. It only starts to bog after an hour or so of riding, so if i dont go for that long i dont notice it. But when it starts it doesnt stop. Even if i turn the fuel off and let it drain the bowl it will keep doing it. It seems to be worse when the tap is on regular not reserve, i duno why. I just fill it with regular petty, not premium. I havent had any service to the engine done, or carby. I can do the carby myself and will clean it out and check the jets this weekend, but im not good enuf to touch the head.

i would first look at the valves. as you ride the bike the heads of the valves begin to wear, causing clearances to change in the engine. if it is allowed to go on long enough without maintaining it, the valves will wear so much that they will always be rubbing on the camshaft causing them to always be open even when they are supposed to be closed causing the engine to lose compression and power. if the valves have never been shimmed before i would suggest that first. valve shimming is supposed to happen every couple of months.

ok, iv had the bike about a year now, so i gues its a bit overdue. it is a bit hard to start when its cold, this is another sign its the valves isnt it? i went for a short ride today, and it was losing power after 20 mins or so, then i hit a couple of small jumps and it started running fine again. what can u make of this? thanks for ur help 2
i could be your spark plug fo
i could be your spark plug fouling it happened to my kx 125 cus the engine wasnt racing enough on the tight track i ride on so i put a hotter plug in and runs like a dream
get the valves looked at, i d
get the valves looked at, i doubt it is the spark plug because 4 strokes dont foul plugs easly.
