I just got a Honda XR250 and i rode a bunch of yamaha's and all the other ones and i still think that xr250's r the best cause the have great handiling ang awsome power and the thing is that iam only 14 and i mostly had suzuki's and i have never had a bike like a xr 250.They are BADASS.}:)
Honda's don't suck dude, I have linked-up two CR500 lumps in a modified frame. I had to lengthen the frame to shoehorn them both in, but it was worth it. This bike is the fastest thing I have ridden, power wheelies on tarmac in every gear. I may post some pics of this beauty.

Whether i'm (il)legally cruisin up the highway at 200 k's an hour or rippin up the trail at noojee my 250 always outclasses the newer 4 stroke 250 generation of bikes, includin kwaks and the yams! Honda have got it right here! :)

the honda xr's do last like forever, but they suck in power, My KTM 125SX has more power than the XR400, they are good trail bikes and all, but not much else, they basically suck for most stuff, they really dont have enough power to have fun with.
i have both a 2001 xr 250 and a 2001 wr 250 they both have their good and bad things about them the xr is fairly easy to start unless you wreck it then it can take a while to start the power is good but it could stand to have a little more top end the wr on the other hand has alot more compression due to the titanium 5 valve head which makes it a lot harder to start but that also means it has more power once it is started another thing about the wr is it is no good stock there are three mods that dont cost any money that completely change the bike take the air cover box off cut the throttle stop scew down and cut the engine mapping wire so it has a a yz engine mapping instead of wr engine mapping like the xr but much worse if you drop it in the woods it can hours to start no lie but theres a catch you can buy a newer model exhast cam that has a decompression mecanism that makes it alot easier so my final conclusion is after the mods and the new cam the yamaha is stronger and faster but th xr has a much more comfortable seat and riding position and is more user friendly
who needs a car? i wanna get a wr 250 and register it and all then rite that. my parents tryed to sell me there Holden nova. i told them to get real im not buyin a car. LoL
