The honda CRF 230 is great. Im 14 years old 135LBS and the CRF 230 does what ever I want to do It kicks ass on the trails and on the jumps.
My friend and i raced against his KDX 200 and at the end CRF 230 pulls through ever time and his bike is faster and hes a better rider than me If your going to buy a dirt bike get a four stroke I have five reasons four strokes are better 1.quiter (very good for tresspassing) 2. It will do what ever you want 3. some four strokes have electic start (no two strokes do) 3. They are easy to ride. 4. Not as dangerous 5.great for trails going slow or fast.
the best thing I listed is how quite the four stroke is you have to be closer than 50yards to barly hear them so you can go any where and not be worried about getting caught. this is why the crf 230 rocks and why four strokes are so good.

in a hare scramble the size dosent make a difference its the better rider unless theres a straight away than the 230 wont be able to accelerat fast enough but my bikes not stock anyway.

4 strokes cost more to rebuild
ok well 4 strokes cost more than 2 strokes to rebuild because on a 4 stroke they have whats called a valve train witch includes valves, camshaft, lifters, cam gear cam chain, on a 2 stroke there is a no valve train just the piston and and the cylinder. plus all the pro's probally rebuild there bikes after every race just like all the other pro racers drag racers, stock cars. i dont know why they started riding 4 strokes and i really dont care a dirt bike is a dirt bike its all good. but 4 strokes do last longer than a 2 stroke because the 2 stroke fires twice as fast as the for strokes so theres less wear on the cylinder and rings, and piston. its all good either way.
