Hi,
Im 14 years old, and I ride a TT-R125L. Im getting a TT-R250 soon, but for now I need help with my 125. im a pretty good rider, but theres one thing that I can't do. Wheelie! I keep thinking that I will flip it backwards every time I want to try. Does anyone have any tips on how to wheelie, without flipping ? thx.

wheelies

to do a whellie just try to balance your weight in the middle of the bike and then give it enough gas to lift up the front end and then just use your senses on how much gas your gonna give it. you have to use your senses because i dont know how much you weigh or your height. good luck!

wheeling

since you have a bike with 5 gears you should be able to wheelie in 2nd so when in 2nd lean back andhold the clutch and when you are ready let the clutch out fast and pull the throttle back

TT-R wheelies

Just pull hard up and sock the gas to it. When you feel like you will flip let off the throttle and throw the front end down!

wheelies

to me i think that the best way to practice wheelies is to start small, that way ur not getting in over your head cuz thats how u'll hurt urself. Just start in first gear then keep doing it in first gear untill u can ride the whole first then do them in 2nd and the so on, when u have it down that way then try to shift in the middle of a small wheelie and go from there. The slower u start ur wheelie, the farther ull go.

wheeling tips

I also own a 2003 ttr-125le and when i wheelie i bounce the front wheel down andleen back while excelerating. Yor body will ottomaticly come forward if it thinks it will flip so just try it. A 125 on you isn't that bad.

How To Do A Wheelie

just give it lots of revs and then ping the clutch out and pull the throttle and it will go up but if you think your going to flip then let go of the throttle.
Enjoy it

Riiiiiight

That'll either work, or (much more likely), you'll end up on your ass, head, back, knee, shoulder, ass, head, back, knee, shoulder, repeat twice more for each 40km/h. To summarise, like you'd been whupped with an giant eggbeater!

Something to keep in mind:

"What would happen if I came off at this speed"

Hey, maybe I'm getting old and want to stay alive :-)

In reply to Ok thx i'll try the site, but by trigger00

start with a hill...

i'm pretty much in the same position as you and know some tricks to this. My driveway goes up slightly and so sitting far back and just giving gas makes it easy. then you have to find your balance pt. and try to maintain it which is the hard part, getting the wheel up isn't. If you do think you are gonna flip, tap the back brake, it's a little scary to do, bc it's QUICK in response (yes, i have a TTR125L too) but it's definitly prevented it for me. After you get used to doing it on a slight hill, it becomes easier on flat parts. Start slow but high in 1st gear, even do some pop ups on a flat part. When you can do that, hit 2nd. And remember, you need to be going fast in the gear, almost ready to shift point. Hope this helps, good luck

B-Dog

I'm 11 and alote of my friends ask me how to do a wheelie. It's simple, Ride in 2nd gear then slow down a little bit. Sit back on the last peace of your seat, not the plastic.Get into 1st and give it some gas and then quickly shift up to second the front will pop up. Now if you want to get like parrelel or farther when you quickly shift up to second give it more gas but not alot because you might flip.I'M SURE THIS WILL WORK. If it dosn't your doing it wrong.
