The 'Ricky Carmichael World Tour' makes an appearance in Houston! Matt Walker wins his first ever 125 supercross event!
250: Tonight's victory by RC is his fifth win in a row. Ricky's team-mate Nate Ramsey, riding the big Honda four-stroke had his best ride ever by finishing second. Nate was the leader for much of the race, until Carmichael went by just past the halfway point. Third place went to Kawasaki rider Ezra Lusk. Lusk has quietly taken over third place in the point standings. David Vuillemin fell in the main, but persevered to finish fourth. Carmichael now leads Vuillemin in the point standings, 234 to 217.
125: Walker rides for the Pro-Circuit Kawasaki team, and it's a remarkable win for the Georgia native. He was signed by Pro-Circuit just before the season started, as their team was decimated by injuries. Second place went to Travis Preston on the Factory Connection Honda. Third place went to a new rider to the series, Eric Sorby from France. Eric will be riding for Pro-Circuit in the USA for the remainder of the year. Points leader James Stewart crashed in practice, was limping noticeably, but still raced. He fell in the main event as well, and finished 10th. Stewart leads Preston in the point standings, 115 to 105.
