I am almost 6"1 and i am 14, and i have been riding for 3 years? What should i get a YZ125 or a YZF250? and what is the best brand of bike, a yamaha, honda, or kawasaki?
While that is generally true, the maximum power output of the yz125 and yz250f is almost identical.
This, as well as the fact the the yz250f has a "broader" spread of power will make it an easier bike to get used to, and mean that rider errors will be less of a problem.
For example, a 250f will probably lug up a hill in a gear too high, where a 125 will die if the revs aren't kept up to it.
get a 250f. they r more powerful and 2 strokes are gona be outlawed. 2 loud and 2 noisy. yeah get a yamaha or honda. hondas break down a lot b/c the stock piston and carb are crap but when they run the kick. yamahas just dont last long. my friend has a 03 yz 125 and hes already blown the engine but yamahas put out a crapload of speed and power. kawasaki sux. they make crappy 4 strokes and their 2 strokes are just slow as nothing else.
i jast got a new 04 kx125 AND it is the best two stroke out for the 125cc class this year and honda are jast plane SHIT BOXS wouldent touch the red peaces of shit
YOU SHOULD GET WHAT YOU WANT BECAUSE I DO NOT KNOW HOW YOU RIDE BUT I HAVE A YZF 250 IT IS BAD A$$ THE THING IS NICE BUT IF YOU GET THE YZF 250 YOU SHOULD GET A STREEING SABILLIZER THAT IS FOR WHEN YOUR ON WHOOPS YOU DONT WINGLE EVERY WHERE BUT THE YZ HAS A GREAT STREEING BUT YZF 250 ARE VERY NICE.
Hey, man u suck, if ur gonna tell people stuff, make sure its right you dumass! 2-strokes are not going to be outlawed you idiot!! and besides 4strokes are ACTUALLY louder, they also have a much larger wall of sound, meaning you can hear them from much further away then a 2stroke. Honda has the exact same carb as on the yamaha, and any other 4 stroke motocross bike, man ur a shit head!! anyways, i have to agree on one thing, and that is that kawasaki sucks!!
that comment i posted was for mxracer20, wich probably isnt a motocross racer cause he knows absalutly NOTHING about motocross. 2strokes rule and they will never die!!!
im a big two stroke fan i ride one ill always ride one. but you said that two strokes have as much horsepower as a thumper? your out of your mind. other than that a four stroke isnt to appealing. their louder their way more expensive to fix if you jam the piston or break a valve. not too mention you have to buy 600 dollars on valves every year... and you have to change your oil 3 times as often, theyre heavier , they overheat and boil over... yeah four strokes are real cool....
i ride a crf250r and i have no problems it runs strong the only one is a clutch i just abuse them but my valves only need to be shimmed about every 40 hours and my piston looks brand new after a half year it is a pro circuit piston and i have a white bros carbon pro nothing can touch it go honda lighter and better engineired

There have been a few good comments on this exact topic on this page New rider ,yz125 or yz250F?.
They apply whether you are a newbie or not. Also, you dont say what you have been riding before, that would make a difference as well.
If you are used to two or four strokers, then it may be better to stick with what you know.
new rider ,yz125 or yz250F
i think it would be best for the new rider to learn on a lower cc bike so that he/she can get used to the gears n shit.
Sort of

Go with the 125. Its a screamer!
