SUPERCROSS and FREESTYLE MOTOCROSS are coming back and are set to rock Hobart’s Derwent Entertainment Centre on Saturday the 17th of April.
Why are more people turning their attention to extreme sports?
Because everyone imagines themselves being charged up enough to put their lives at risk and walking away. There is a quest in us all to find an adrenalin charge.
Extreme sports are about individuality, higher levels of achievements, redefining your personal performance boundaries, finding your limits and then pushing them. The extreme sport movement has had a large impact upon a diverse audience and has well and truly captured their attention.
The thrill of extreme competition only heightens the adrenalin charge and that's what draws the thousands of spectators to the racetrack. They're hungry for the thrills and spills of the event and are eager to soak it up- they want to become part of the event and its atmosphere!
So that’s why we’re back- with more riders, bigger jumps and loads more freestyle action!
Welcome to the world according to Full Throttle Sports.
Racing – The battle is set to erupt
Team Honda’s Troy Dorron will be going head to head with his arch rival Cameron Taylor (Team Boost Mobile Yamaha), while joining this battle will be Team Suzuki’s Danny Ham, Team Yamaha’s Troy Carroll, Honda mounted Craig Carmichael and crowd favorite Steven “Air Time” Andrews. Daniel Howley will head a long list of privateers in their quest for supercross stardom. These riders have been going hammer and tongs all year and will be coming to Tasmanian to continue their epic Pro Open battle.
In the Pro Lite class all eyes will be on Team Motorex rider Ryan Marmont who has been riding awesome this year. One man who wants to stand tall on the winners podium is none other than Jye Harvey. The No Fear Honda rider battled an illness at the start of the year that had set him back, but Jye is now fit, strong and ready to take on his Pro Lite rivals. Daniel McCoy will be doing his best to put his Team Yamaha YZ250F out in front as will Team Kawasaki’s Adam Robinson and Brent Landman. Close on their heels will be the Team Powerhouse duo of Cameron Sinclair and Blake “Bilko” Williams as they take aim at the factory riders. The racing action will be “full throttle” as the fast and furious world of supercross is set to erupt once again come the night of April 17th.
Freestyle- The Freaks Are Unleashed
Ride it hard & fast without the rules of racing. The Freestyle movement is something all youths have engaged in. Tasmania will be subject to all of the intensity & insanity of the most Hardcore Australian Freestyle Motocross Pro’s. Unlimited sick tricks, instant gratification and all out no holds bared freestyle! Nothing will prepare you for the unleashing of Australia’s freaks of freestyle- Porter, Shuebring, “SINX” Sinclair, “BILKO” Williams and Jezza Ray- the freight train is ready to disembark and nothing can stop it!.
Fast 50’s and MORE!
The mini madness has taken the world by storm and the young dare devils are coming across to invade the apple island. Over ten riders/racers will demonstrate their skills and techniques in an effort to out do one another and their mighty pocket rockets.
Off the track will be the HUGE Accessories Sales, Motorcycle displays and competition giveaways.
And if this is not enough one lucky spectator will go home with an all new Honda CRF50. Honda in conjunction with Full Throttle Sports and Shift are giving away one CRF50 and a set of Shift racing gear.
