yea its old worn out and a PO

yea its old worn out and a POS probably... those things are by no means easy to start anyway... i have seen a really tough guy look like he kicked the heck out of it to get it to start.

on a helpful note... try to give it gas when u start it and MAKE SURE TO HAVE CHOKE ON.

check the reeds

Often if a 2 stroker is hard to start the reeds and/or reed block are buggered. check the carby needle and seat isn't clogged, check i'ts got spark, replace the plug, check it's got compression. There really is nothing to them.

hard to start

the bigger the bike the harder they r to start.but if u know how they r easy make sure u get the kick so it feels like u can nearly stand on it wen its at almosst as high as it will go.u mite need to push it down a couple of time till the pressure i there.if its always soft then u got a problem..so whip the cylinder off and check the piston and bore..a 500 should hurt ya foot a bit if the compression is correct.
