Ya it is very reliable. It is a great starter bike but u might want to consider the CRF150F as u wont grow out of it so quick and the 150 is more fun.But it all depends on your age, size and weight.
First off the 150 weighs around 215 so its terribly heavy but has a good motor to lug it aroung second it sucks at tracks- always bottoms out....... And it may have an electric start (which is good) and the battery lasts a long time but even if it were to run out of electricity you could still push start it+ new 07 has a new and faster motor.... Second Honda just came out with the new crf 150r!!!!! Has a unicam race engine and uses a CR 85r specs and and the same frame and stuff......
oh cool, yeah i dont think i could really afford that now but maybe later. I might just stick to the crf100f for now to learn on. Is the crf150r faster than a cr125?
DONT GET THE CRF100 ITLL BE TOO SMALL FOR YOU YOULL OUT GROW IT REALLY FAST...GET A CRF150F OR A CRF230F THE CRF230F IS ONLY LIKE 3,300 DOLLARS AND THE CRF150 IS LIKE ALMOST3,000 DONT GET THE CRF100 YOU WILL OUTGROW IT QUICKLY....SERIOUSLY OR GET A CR85 ITS FASTER THAN THE CRF150 BUT A BIT SLOWER THAN THE CRF230 THE CR85 IS A GREAT STARTER BIKE AND ITS REALLY RELIABLE AND ITS GOOD FOR YOUR HEIGHT AND WEIGHT...GET THE CR85 OR A CRF150 OR A CRF230
the crf100f is a good bike they are light bike very powerful and they are better than a 150f because the 150's are to heavy a 100 can out do a 150 im thinking about selling my 100 because i want somthing more for race BUT THAY ARE GOOD BIKES FORGET THE 150's
1st of all the 150 is way faster than the 100 and 150 more power and the kid at your school is right a 85 2stroke would kill a 100,80,150 4 stroke it wouldent even be close.
I have had a Xr 100 for 6 years and the only things i have replaced are the tires, chain, brake pads, oil, sprockets, and spark plugs. I ride long and hard and it will start and go anywhere within reality.
Ok, i may not be the most experianced or the fastest rider on this site, but i have rode ALOT of bikes in my time, and right now i own a 2004 crf150f, and am getting a crf250x in the near future. So here are the facts that i have found. The crf100 is way to small for even me, and i am 5'5" and only weigh 115 pounds. But when i looked at a 150 it was perfect. (i was like 5'3" and about 100 pounds) I'm not going to tell you what to buy, but if you want smooth, low end power with and prolly the most reliability out of all mini bikes, then I would go for the 150, (for a starter) But... If you want a snappy two stroke that has absolutly no power unless your in the powerband, and that doesn't go much faster than the 150 (don't try to argue with me, i've raced a ktm85 and smoked it), get the cr85. Also, the 150 is easy to work on, and easy to soup up, like, i jetted mine and put a pipe and handlebars on mine, and it absolutly will kill any of my friends that have 85's, and yes, i know they could beat me it the souped theirs up, but still, your talking a trail bike vs a race bike. Oh, and if your worried about suspension, then don't, i'm building a track at my house, and i am hitting everything, and it doesn't bottom out untill i hit the big 45 foot double. And don't say i didn't do it, i have a video of it!!!! Ok so if i were you i'd go With a 150 or a 85, depending on what you want to do with it, a 105=trail (unless you go with the 150r), and a 85=race, so you pick it's your money. SO GET OUT THEIR AND BUY SOMETHING DO YOU CAN RIDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The Honda crf 100 is a good starter bike. Parts are reasonable, and available almost everywhere. I just bought one for my son for $880.00. It starts first or second kick and runs great. After he uses it for 2-3 years I will sell it for MORE than I paid for it! The cost of a 150 is considerably more. $2000.00 to $3500.00 It all depends what you can afford.
