Looking for anyone out there who knows the answere to the trouble with the 2001Yamaha crf250 starting issue. My son loves the bike, but at times is looking for a cliff to throw it off of... It just wont start some times. I have heard that this is an issue with this particular year. Hoping to find a solution for it....thanks....tom chessatthrees@yahoo.com

well one problem is that yamaha doesnt make a crf honda does so either u meant yamaha yzf or honda crf

There could be many reasons but most probebly the valves are gone,if those are gone somtimes it starts first kick other it takes all day.take it 2 your dealer to check them out.

Its a problem of that year that they have fixed in subsequent years. I was just wondering if someone knew what the fix was. Dont want to go to the dealer unless I am forced to.

There is nothing wrong with the bike it is the year of that model.
