Drew has had the opportunity to ride the new CRF450X.
Its about time that Honda got its act together. This can only be good for us punters, as the big companies fight for our dollars.

Unfortunately, I've had to change the policy of allowing anyone to anonymously comment on content on this site.
This is primarily due to Casio spammers posting thousands of comments over the last week or so. Most of them are removed automatically, or manually by myself.
Unfortunately, once again its the minority who will affect the majority in a negative way.

Red Bull Champ KTM rider Tyla Rattray will miss the remainder of the MX2 FIM World Championship after an MRI scan yesterday in Belgium revealed that he has torn his ACL in his right knee.
The Grand Prix of Flanders winner will go under the knife tomorrow (Wednesday) in Belgium and will have to rest for three weeks before starting a three to four month rehab period. The ligament had been torn in two, the lateral ligaments had also been stretched and the MRI showed damage to the meniscus and cartilage.
The news is a further blow to the Champ squad who have already lost Marc de Reuver for the campaign when the Dutchman snapped all three ligaments during a pre-season international race. They now field one rider in the form of Britain’s Carl Nunn although KTM are working on a contingency plan.
Husqvarna Racing’s AJ Roberts added another trophy to the cabinet today, winning the fifth round of the NSW Enduro Series held at Holbrook.
Today’s event consisted of six laps of a dry and dusty 22km course, with three ‘tests’ per lap in the hilly and often rocky terrain. When asked about the course, Roberts responded;
“The track is quite dry and dusty, but nothing like the Qld Enduro round last weekend. In fact, the dusty conditions near Kingaroy last weekend prepared me well for today’s race.
GLOCESTER - The town is preparing to do battle again against New England Dirt Riders LLC, which neighbors say continues to allow the operation of dirt bikes on a track that was ordered shut down by the town last June.

Yet another example of how having noisy bikes is reducing our riding areas.
Keep your muffler as quiet as possible, or we'll all have to ride these ElectricMoto Blade, which look like a hot ticket for the future!
Short version:
Lots of fun, no (bad) crashes, trophy (in the mail).
Long version:
I rode two enduros 15+ years ago, but I knew nothing and did poorly. Then I got sidetracked with other stuff and didn't ride off road much. Since getting into riding off road a little bit more seriously in the last couple of years, I've been wanting to do another enduro, but for one reason or another just never got around to it. I finally got around to it this past Sunday (5/1) at the Pine Hill Enduro in New Jersey. This was essentially my first enduro, and certainly the first one where I went in with some idea how timekeeping worked.
Ian had once again put in the hard work to arrange accomodation for a ride. This time for the Sunsent Country ride. Thanks again for that Ian!
Ian had estimated 4 hours travelling time to get to the campsite, but since I was travelling from closer than he, and didn't have a caravan, I reckoned I could make it in about 2 and a half to three hours.
I left work at around 1:30pm, rushed home, loaded up the bike and gear and finally managed to drag myself away at around 3pm.
Getting close to camp, I encountered a few Kangaroos crossing the road, which is common at dusk here in South Australia. Luckily, despite my hurrying, I managed to avoid them, although I did test out the ABS with the Husky on a trailer behind the Forester.
Husqvarna Australia's successful racing contingent comprising Enduro, Motocross, and Super Motard teams, has added a fresh new look to their race lineup.
Husky Chix is Australia's first all female factory backed motocross team. The three girl team is the initiative of Sue Feeney, wife of Paul Feeney who is the Australian distributor for the Husqvarna brand.
"I wanted to help increase the awareness and profile of female motocross in Australia, and creating an all girl team is a great way of supporting women's growth in a traditionally male sport." Explains Sue.
The team includes three experienced Queensland riders; former bank manager Julie Longo, mobile equipment operator Brooke Thiemann, and spare parts manager and former Australian Trials rider, Jena Grimsey.
Yamaha WR450 mounted Blake Hore has maintained his overall second position in the Yamaha Victorian OffRoad Championships with a 2nd and 4th outright at the two day Erica Enduro over the weekend (Apr-30/May-1).
Winning two special tests out of 5 counted in Saturday's opening round the Christensens Yamaha backed rider was only beaten by NSW Offroad Champion Brad Williscroft and was happy with the second place.
"My results were good on Saturday," said the 19-year-old. "The conditions were not what I am very comfortable in, with the very high speeds and never really got comfortable but my results were good. With clubs finding it harder to get help a lot of these fast open trails are coming into play and I really have to work on improving this area of my riding"
The first round of the SA Dirt Bikes Reliability Trial – the Phillip Hayden Memorial – will be held at Tarlee, north of Adelaide on Saturday 7th May.
The event will be held over three laps in six hours, with competitors facing both competitive off road sections as well as dirt roads.
Riders are started at oneminute intervals, with the first rider away from main control at 1pm.

With little rain in the past months, the trail is expected to be difficult, with dusty sections providing a challenge for bike reliability and rider preparation.
The Dirty Bits Racing team members have been training hard in the lead up to the event, with a combination of enduros, motorcross and a variety of club based events to ensure bike fitness and setup.
