i have an 81 honda xr100 that i have had since i was 8 it just stopped running recently but i am wondering before i dig into it are the parts for an81 the same as the new ones cuz i also have an 03 that everything looks the same.

i'm 15 and I have been wanting a new bike for ages and the only experience i have had is a 200cc ag bike. What would be a better chose out of a crf150r, a crf250r or a crf230f?

hi all...just jumped on out of frustraion, i recently got my bike back from the mech, and after cleaning out the carbi and chucking in a whole new clutch kit, the guy there told me to start running fuel at 33:1 instead of 40:1...apparently it was too rich before.
which, as im reading my motul pre-mix card, makes no sense since i used 250ml for 10L @40:1 and now it tells me for 33:1 i have to mix in 303ml of oil for 10L of fuel. duh....dont have to be a genius but thats definately richer, yet my bike is running more chunky and rough. can anyone help...thanks

hi i have a weak sparki have gone over the electrical wiring with a multimeter from spark plug entry right back to the stator and it all seems to be ok ive tryed to roll start, replaced sparkplug, removed kill swich and i even replaced the ignition coil. i replaced ig coil because i wasnt geting continuity from end to end but it turns out they are all like that because i brought a new one and didnt have continuity either, just at the end with the two terminals it does have continuity. does any one have any ideas i know that it isnt gas related.

Hi guys i was riding the xr200 one day, the next it just wouldnt start at all. i have tried a new sparkplug ive tried run starting it but to no avail. what happens is the bike starts but only when going down the hill and at a very quite pitch and when i apply throttle nothing happens, theres no change in revs or sound and when i get to the bottom of the hill it just dies. does any one have any useful advice it will be much appreciated cheers. xr rider paul.

The rear brake on my 93 cr250 went out. it feels as if there is no compression when i hit the pedal. what can be the problem? It works a little but not very good. And the pads are in good shape.

I'm about to pull the trigger on my first dirt bike in the next day or two. Can't decide which would be better for a 230 lb. 48 year old that just wants to get out and ride trails in the mountains. I've no intension of racing or jumping. I'd appreciate any thoughts you might have.

hey, im new to this fourm so please hang with me, i could not find a post for the general honda motorcycles, so i used this one. anyway i have a 2001 CR 250 and im trying to change the fork seals if you could please explain to me the best way to remove and reinstall in the seals?? im doing this from home so im going to be doing this with a basic set of tools. ie i dont have have the special honda seal rammers or whatever the shops use to install them...the shop in my area tried to charge me $300 to install the seals. Maybe someone knows a free place to download the service manual?

Hay ive got a honda cr 250 for sale its got new barkbusters new plastics front and back and a new o ring chain and sprocket. Ive hardly ridden it but gotta sell the big cat cos i need the cash chasing about $2900 for it
