engine problems

Forum Topics
Honda

ok i just got an 1982 cr80 off of this person. they had it and something was wrong with it. so me and my dad brought the bike home and the engine was taken apart in boxes. so we looked at the parts and we noticed that the crank was gone out of it and the cylinder had a big scratch down the side of it. my dad thought that it isnt too good so we started lookin around for parts for it. we found a 85 cr80 engine it only was missing the top of the head because he striped the spark plug whole. it comes with the cylinder and everything and i can get a 86 head online. would all of this work with my 82 frame. will it bolt on the the bike or could we take the crank out of the 85 engine and put it in the 82 engine. which way would be the better way to go with it.

im new to dirtbikes...i dont know much about them...i have a 2004 crf230 that i ride around...my friend said it might be faster if i take of the airbox vents that are on top of airbox and under the seat but he said there will be more airflow and my bike might be running to (lean) i really didnt understand... he mentioned something about a fuel and air screw on the carburator...what do i need to do in order to to take the vents out and the bike can run fine...

crf150f jumping?

Forum Topics
Honda

hey im lookin at getting a crf150f but my friend said that it would be too heavy to do some small jumps that he does on his crf100f. im wondering if this is true or is the crf150f fine for hitting some jumps (nothing bigger than 5 feet). please dont suggest other 2 stroke bikes because i need a 4 stroke and i dont have that much spending money.

thanks
